To hunt migratory game birds (ducks, geese, and snipe) you must carry
with you, a valid Canada Migratory Game Bird Hunting Permit. In
Newfoundland and Labrador, this permit is also required to hunt murres
(turrs) in open season. These permits are only available through Canada
Post.
Turr-hunting season is from October 6, 2008 to January 20, 2009.
Duck-hunting season runs from November 22, 2008 to February 28, 2009.
